Why MarineVerse?
I have a small freshwater sailboat and would like to brush up on my skills over the winter—especially safety-related maneuvers like “man overboard,” but also safe docking. I’d also like to experience regatta sailing without the real-life hassle.
Sailing experience:
As a child, I learned the basics on the Baltic Sea in an Optimist. Now, at 45, I’ve spent four seasons sailing my 18-foot sailboat on a freshwater lake. I’ve got a pretty good handle on my boat, but there’s still plenty of room for improvement. I’ve never been out on the ocean (except as a guest), and I’ve never participated in a regatta.
